Hand jewelry, step 3


I haven’t had as much time to bead as I’d like, so there’s not a lot of progress on this piece. We had class this afternoon, and this is what I’m doing for the leaves:

This is basically branch fringe, which I tame into this:

There’s two lengths of fringe between every bead, except if I miss one — which you can’t tell. I connect the ends of the fringe as the edge of the bead. I’m using 11s for the leaf, and 15s for the center vein and edges. I’m making the leaves in three colors, of various shapes, and then attaching them underneath the flower.

I still have to figure out how to get this on the back of my hand. I have an idea which involves beads, thread, sewing elastic, jump rings, and lobster claws!
