Bisaneta’s earrings

Bisaneta posted a beautiful ring and pair of earrings last week, and I wanted to try to make a pair of the earrings for myself. I shopped at a Rings & Things bead show last weekend, and one of the things on my wish list was a couple of different stone beads for her design. I picked up these red tigereye (and some sodalite), and on the way home, went to a craft store for some colored wire. I don’t have any metal allergies, thankfully.

I made a small loop, then shaped the earring around a partially used mini-cone of Nymo. I used a plastic cutting board and a rubber mallet to somewhat harden the wire, and then a jeweler’s file to smooth the end. Two rows of brick stitch complete Bisaneta’s design. These are 1 3/4″ long.
