Use the Muse

If you’re out of beadwork to browse on the web (ha!), here’s the entrants of the contest Scarlett Lanson runs, beading wunderkind of Beadwork.  Here’s the A-M gallery, and the N-Z gallery.  The participating beaders purchase a kit, which they use as little or as much of as they want — except for one mystery component, that everyone must use.  And not disclose until the completion of the contest.

Here’s details for entering the next Use the Muse!  I think I might – if I’m reading it right, the picture is of the kit components, minus the Muse and a piece of Swarovski yarn.  GREAT colors!

  1. There are some really beautiful pieces there. I bought a couple of those donuts at Bead and Button, so it is lovely to see lots of different ways to use them.

I think Dini’s piece is my favourite this time round, organic on one side and angular on the other, it makes me think of angelfish on a reef!

    • I liked that one too. I always appreciate it when someone does something a bit different – that the doughnut doesn’t become a classic pendant with fringe, in this case….

I did buy the kit, deadline is mid-Oct. Daisies first! 🙂
