Triangle tube completed
This was a satisfying project to complete. I really like these beads together, and I like how the gold charlottes tie the clasp into the piece, at least somewhat. Diane Fitzgerald’s instructions show a beaded ball and loop clasp, but I wanted to use a different clasp. I chose to string the tube onto Softflex, and use large rondelles to cover the end of the tube, and crimp on a magnetic clasp. You can see the beading wire through the lattice of the beads if you look closely. I gave this as a gift, and the recipient is quite pleased.

She is more than quite pleased. I love it. And everyone who sees it just remarks about how beautiful it is. In real life it is lighter than this photo looks on my monitor. More like springtime in my fave colors.

really beautiful! i would have never thought about stringing the soft flex through it. i imagine that helps it hold it’s shape a little better and makes putting on a clasp a little firmer, too.
Thank you! I strung it on ‘fat’ Softlex, well, medium — .019″. So it holds a smooth, graceful curve and all IT has to worry about is holding its twist. 🙂 And right, it keeps the clasp on the same curve, rather than a bend at it; no big deal if it stays on the back of your neck, of course, but if it slides a bit, might make a difference.
