Smithsonian Museum of American History


Just a couple pictures from this, my last post about my trip to Washington, D.C. The Smithsonian Museum of American History has everything from the history of light bulbs to the First Ladies’ gowns to the Manhattan Project.

The beautiful copper pots and pans from one wall of Julia Child’s kitchen:

In the 1930’s you could purchase a glass blowing kit like you could a chemistry kit:

And finally, beads. I can spot beads from a mile away:

Washington, D.C. is a destination worthy of repeat visits to see the history, art, and government. Be prepared to walk lots, eat well, and bring a camera!
