National Seed Beading Month?

So, I mused in a tweet that instead of NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month, where writers produce a 50,000 word novel by writing every day), I/we should bead every day. Should it be NaBeMo? NaSeBeMo? That would be National Seed Bead Month — but I said this in 140 characters or less, of course!

Jennifer Chasalow VanBenschoten, the editor for Beading Daily, took the idea and RAN with it. Here’s her blog post; we are egging each other on. Or is that encouraging each other? She baked cookies and beaded this morning, and I made gelato and beaded this morning.

I am going to follow through, and bead a little every day this month. I have a full calendar, but I think a month of beading daily, with a side of gelato or cookies, is a wonderful way to welcome winter.

  1. Great idea! I have a mix of “think about it” and “fingers on auto-pilot” projects to do. So I’ll have no excuse .
