Mid Century shape and color at MIA

On a recent trip to the Minneapolis Institute of the Arts, I stopped in the gallery with an exhibit of Mid Century textiles. I enjoyed the textiles, but really loved the shape and color of the glazed pottery in the center of the gallery.

This is Red Wing Pottery (from here in Minnesota), designed by Eva Zeisel. This line was made from 1936 to 1967. I love the salt and pepper shakers leaning towards each other. The reflection in the case is from a Marimekko print on the wall behind me.

Russel Wright is the designer of these carafes and pitchers, manufactured from 1939 to 1959.
