Ignoring the hole on a perfectly good bead

In my feed reader, I found this post, from Lumina in Budapest, and wanted to play with the idea.  I used a bezel that was inspired by some French bezels (sorry, I no longer have the link), which I also used in my rings.  I did use the hole to help anchor the band of Delicas wrapped pole-to-pole, to keep it from rotating around the bead, so I didn’t totally ignore the hole.  And I hid thread ends in it!  The bail is from Jamie Cloud Eakin’s Beading with cabochons.  The lampwork itself was unlabeled as to artist; I bought it probably 10 years ago.  It’s a bit more balanced and even than the picture shows.
