Herringbone commas


Messing around with herringbone — these are interesting curves, but won’t work for my intended use (sort of a “ray” from a centerpiece); too big.  I’ll play again with this sometime, maybe use 15s.  They’re interesting though.

  1. They look nice! Did you do them with different sizes? or with decreases….
    I can’t see where the decreases would be. I did a spiral with herringbone, like a snail shell, but it didn’t the the purpose I needed 🙁

    • Thanks! It’s 4-around herringbone, but with one stitch (of two, in the layer of four beads), picking up 4 beads instead of 2. I did this every other row. I firmed it up with a second pass with the clear beads on the inside and outside.

      Definitely it’s an idea I can mess with some more sometime. Of course, I’m on to something else, instead. 🙂

      The spiral sounds cool! I hope you can use IT for something else….
