The 2010 Beading for a Cure auctions are going wonderfully — take a look at what’s listed now!
I believe 75 kits were sold for next year’s auctions, to raise money to help eradicate colorectal cancer. The rules of the challenge require participants to use at least one bead of each of the beads in the kit, and to add only one bead. There’s a new dimension to next year, a competition with a very generous listing of donated prizes, judged by respected beaders Jeannette Cook, Marcia DeCoster, Diane Fitzgerald, and Sherry Serafini.
Here are the beads:
Notice that they are all fairly subdued in value, in popular colors of bronze and purple. I added the turquoise glass cabochon. Since it’s undrilled, it doesn’t count as my extra bead, so my added bead will likely also be turquoise. IF I go this route!
