Beading for a Cure necklace complete!

Here’s a closeup of the center front:

The necklace is about 21″ long, with a hidden hook-and-eye underneath the back cabochon. I have used at least one of every bead in the kit, and my bead addition was gold-plated charlottes. The cabs are foiled glass vintage Cherry brand, from occupied Japan. The cabs and surrounding beads are embroidered on bright blue Ultrasuede, and backed by that same Ultrasuede.

The earrings are 2″ from top to bottom, on gold-plated findings.

This set was made for Beading for a Cure, a charitable organization created to support finding a cure for colorectal cancer in memory of beader Layne Shilling. Auctions for this and about 70 other pieces will begin next March. All proceeds after costs are donated to NCCRA in Layne’s memory. I will post again when auction time is here!
