9/11 Bead Quilts are home!

Andrea Adams blogged earlier in the week that the Bead Quilts have been safely delivered to their museum home! It will reside at the 9/11 Museum and Memorial, being constructed at the World Trade Center site in New York City. It was an honor to be a small part of the Bead Quilt’s journey.

  1. I was searching the web for info on the 911 Bead Quilt. Do you know if it is on display in NY now? I beaded one of the squares and would like to plan a trip to see it if it is.

    • I don’t believe it is currently on display; my guess is that they have rotating displays of these memorial objects. Looking at the current list, I don’t see it. I hope to see it again as well, and I would try to plan a trip around it too. From their website: “For information about visiting, email reservations@911memorial.org, or call (212) 266-5211.” If you contact them and find out, let me know what you learned, please!
